I found your site because I’m also a wordpress blogger. I enjoy watching Supernatural and I enjoy blogging about it. I’m hoping for so much with the Demon Dean story, but I can’t say what the writers are going to do. But i hope the MOC is forever. It has to be? Right? I hope.

I think your site looks very professional and it seems very inviting for readers.

I’ve been blogging for a while and I’m rather stumped. I don’t know the best way to get readers and I’m feeling a little stagnant with my writing as well. I share the blog with several writers and we’re ALL so different. I’m still looking for a template that would categorize the articles properly or at least separate the writers on my site.

Do you have any tips for a stale blogger? I’m balderlou at Supernaturally Devoted.

Thanks. If you don’t have the time to answer, that’s okay too, lol.

    1. Hey Lou,

Glad to meet a fellow fan! There aren’t many of us where I’m from (Singapore). I can count with one hand the number of friends I have over here who are Supernatural fans. I guess cos it isn’t syndicated that much on TV here. I have to apologize for the slow reply. I only update this site where I have time outside of work, and my attention gets divided between my other interests such as art and sports and other television shows. I work in the media industry here in Singapore, so I guess my work kinda contributes to my blog/website.

Okay boring stuff aside, let’s talk Supernatural! Fuck yeahhh!!

The Mark of Cain can’t be there forever, unless they want a gritty, tragic close to the series. As long as the MoC is there, I don’t think the brothers can really reconcile with the paths they’ve taken individually. I could be wrong, they could go for a family-trumps-the-thing-that-makes-you-a-perfect-killer route. I think the whole Demon Dean arc is fascinating, but I think it’ll be interesting to see Dean team up with Crowley as well. We have an intriguing Light versus Dark, Good versus Evil line-up in Season 10, with Team Sam/Cas up against Team Deanmon/Crowley coming up, and I hope they play it up to full effect.

Anyway I love your blog. It’s always great to read how an altogether different mind perceives every Supernatural episode.

If you feel stuck for ideas, do List entries. For example: 5 Hottest Hook-Ups (a bit contrived, but as much as I hate to say it, sex sells. Just do it tastefully), 10 Funniest Dean Moments, etc. These articles help fill time in between seasons, or when the season finally begins, in between episodes.

Also, if you have friends who have a rather sizeable following on the Internet or are mini-celebrities – or better yet, are actual celebrities (and preferable watch Supernatural) – use them as leverage to get more readers. For example, I have a friend who got third place in Singapore Idol. Sometimes I’d use him to push an agenda, or as an interview subject. So in this case, I might go for a “Paul Twohill & I Smoke Up and Talk That Last Supernatural Episode”. Something more concise of course, but you get the idea. I’d get Paul to share it on his wall or website and you have a snowball effect going on.

There are more ways to jolt your blog back into life, but this is all I can think of, off the top of my head. I’ll list down more ways when I remember them.

It’s 2:45 am over here and I need to crash. Thank you for the note Lou!
